Mountain man Ron Twigg, who has travelled more than 1,250 miles to receive treatment from Steven Burchell

Mountain man Ron Twigg has traveled more than 1,250 miles to get a dental problem fixed with Dudley CDT Steven Burchell.

Retired Ron, who lives in Benllech, on the Isle of Anglesey, has endured two years of oral trouble and said finding solutions at the Black Country clinic "has been worth every last mile."

A former Royal Marine, Ron received postings all over the world, during his nine years' service with the elite Naval outfit. In Civvy Street he managed the Llanrug Outdoor Education Centre on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park for 30 years, retiring at 62.

He said: "I live for the outdoors and still go rock climbing and caving, but my teeth were causing me problems. I had some treatment two years ago which was not satisfactory."

"Finding the specialist treatment I have received in Dudley has been such a relief. My wife's mother lives in Pedmore (Stourbridge, West Midlands) and during a visit we saw an advertisement for the surgery. I am very happy with the professional treatment I have received."

With the five visits to see Mr Burchell I will have covered over 1,250 miles, but my experince has been totally professional and finding a solution has been worth every last mile."
